HELLO FRANKLINITES:                                                                                                        

Based on the Center for Disease Control (CDC) Guidelines regarding Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) the following changes are being implemented at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church (FABC) UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE:

  • Sunday Worship Services will be live-streamed at 9:00am on our FABC website: franklinabc.com and on all of our social media platforms: @FABCNOLA on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
  • Wednesdays: Both 11:00am and 6:30pm Bible Studies will be live-streamed @ franklinabc.com and on our social media platforms.
  • ALL FABC MINISTRY MEETINGS, SUNDAY SCHOOL, NEW MEMBERS and WEEKDAY CLASSES are canceled until further notice.
  • BAPTISMS are canceled until further notice.
  • CHRISTENINGS are canceled until further notice.
  • ALL SATURDAY ACTIVITIES & MEETINGS are canceled except for Weddings and Funerals.
  • Funerals are still being held. However, based on the State of Louisiana’s mandate on social gatherings, only the immediate family can be in attendance: up to 50 people. Extended family and friends can watch online.  Anyone can attend the viewing before the funeral.  However, 10 minutes before the funeral service begins, an announcement will be made asking non-immediate family members to leave and watch the service online.
  • The Heritage Choir will not be singing at the funerals.
  • The church WILL NOT be able to host a repast after the funeral.
  • Weddings will continue as scheduled with the same restrictions as funerals.
  • We encourage all members to continue to be faithful in your giving through tithes and offerings. You can continue to give online Click Here to Give Online.
  • THE FABC CHURCH OFFICE IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

THE LORD’S SUPPER:  FIRST SUNDAY, APRIL 5, 2020

  • The Lord’s Supper is of great importance to our congregation and we will continue our tradition of sharing and communing together. However, Louisiana Governor Edward’s has issued a statewide “Stay At Home” Order. So, in preparation for our First Sunday, April 5, 2020 Worship Service, we are inviting FABC Members to participate, at home, as a family by using the following SUBSTITUTES FOR COMMUNION: Bread or Crackers (Leavened or Unleavened);  AND  Grape Juice or Water.  
  • During our 9:00AM, Live Stream Worship Service: Sunday, APRIL 5TH, we will take communion together.

  • All members please pray at 12:00pm every day for the defeat of COVID-19 also read 2 Chronicles 7:14 during this time.
