Dear Church Family:
I pray you all are well. When the Covid-19 pandemic began, we had no idea how long it would last. It has now been eight weeks. In many ways, I have seen God’s grace through this trial. In particular, by streaming our Sunday Services and Wednesday Bible Studies, we have reached tens of thousands of people, that we would have never reached, through social media and digital platforms alone.
However, many are asking, “What is church life going to look like on the other side of this crisis?” “When will we gather together again?” “What precautions will we take, will it feel normal?” Trust me every leader in the Christian world is asking the same questions. Yet, the answers seem to change day by day, week by week, and now month by month.
Although churches are part of the Phase One Re-opening plan, gatherings are limited to 100 people for church services. Given this restriction, the church leadership and I have decided to continue the Wednesday Bible Studies and Sunday Morning Worship Services online via Live-Streaming until further notice. You can stream through our following digital platforms: www.franklinabc.com, Facebook.com/FABCNOLA, or Youtube.com/FABCNOLA.
With hundreds of dedicated and faithful members, there is no way for me to choose just 100 members to attend Sunday worship. All of you deserve to be in our sanctuary on Sunday mornings, however because of the member limits we have been given, we are not able to make that happen at this time.
So, what stays the same? Phase One Reopening states that we should stay home except for essential needs, particularly seniors and those with underlying conditions. Wear a mask when you go out and wash your hands frequently. But most of all spend quality time with God and your families. We can get through this together Franklin Avenue so keep doing what we’re doing, Faith over Fear. We love you and may God shelter and keep us.
